Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Air to debut at WWDC with revised specs

The latest laptop will share an M2 chip with the 13-inch Air but offer higher resolution.

Apple’s rumored 15-inch MacBook Air is likely launching at WWDC this June. It will have a processor “on par” with the M2 chip according to developer logs. The 15-inch Air could join the 13-inch Air as one of the best laptops, though specs may disappoint. It reportedly matches the M2 chip: 8 cores, 10 graphics cores and 8GB RAM.

Larger screen but same chip as the Air M2 disappoints some.

Rumors suggested a more powerful chip and specs for the 15-inch Air but it has the same M2 chip, improving on the M1 but lacking an M3. An M3 MacBook is coming early 2024.

macOS 14, higher resolution and new features promised.

Good news: It may launch with macOS 14, touted for WWDC. A 3024 x 1964 resolution improves on the current Air’s 2560 x 1664 screen, though sharpness may suffer on the larger 15.3-inch display.
